Viola, concentrated on the training*

Why do you love ballet so much? – Ballet is fascinating. Body, mind and soul are colluding and aesthetics and harmony of movement are supported when dancing. Practising any sport you usually exercise only certain parts of the body, in ballet every muscle is trained. It is a wonderful feeling to let the movements melting with the music.

Pas de deux training with Sascha Paar

Last year I had the chance to train twice in St Petersburg. The first time I attended a class in the Ballet Conservatoire in St Petersburg where I was trained by a teacher from the famous Vaganova Ballet Academy and where (in the latter) I even passed the entrance examination. As I didn´t feel comfortable staying there and I had – aside from that – an injured foot, I decided to continue studying in Austria. When I was in St Petersburg for the second time I attended the well known Dance Open Festival where I had the chance to work with teachers from the Vaganova Ballet Academy and from the Mariinsky Theatre.

Then I applied for a two weeks summer training at the Palucca Academy for Dance and was taken. It was a big experience to train with dance students from the whole world, to become acquainted with them and to share opinions and ideas. And there were some famous teachers such as Nicolas Le Riche. The school year 2017/18 will presumptive be my last year of studying. I hope to absolve it without injuries (annot.: this is what dancers fear the most). – To be continued …
