  •  Doctor Heldt´s Green Smoothie

  • to prevent illness, to stay healthy and young:
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 cups cucumber
  • 1 bunch celery stalks
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • galangal (to taste)
  • ginger (to taste)
  • 2 apples
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • juice of ½ lime
  • 2 cups water

Wash and cut vegetables and fruits, put into a food processor and blend. The juice quantity can vary, it depends on the plants´ size. Vary spinach with other leafy greens – lettuce, cabbage or use different sorts. You can add chia seeds or linseed oil. If you have never had a green smoothie start drinking small quantities (about 50 ml). At the begin of the green smoothie era one can suffer from diarrhea – it is because of the smoothie´s detox effect.

My Recipe: Catharina`s*) Magic Potion

  • 2 cups of Swiss Chard
  • 2 cups of pineapple, mango and apple
  • 2 cups of water
  • juice of ½ a lemon and ½ an orange
  • *) Catharina Medici, Queen of France

Put the washed and cut pieces as well as the liquid into a blender, mix and serve. To your health! You can take as many drinks per day as you want. Ill persons should take up to one liter a day. Those who go to work, can prepare the juice or the smoothie in the morning and take one or two glasses for breakfast. Fill the rest into a bottle, take it to the office and put it there into the fridge. But take care! There are smoothie-thieves everywhere …

Extra-Tip

The greener the juice or the smoothie the healthier it is. Don´t worry, smoothies taste nice even if they look like poisoned drinks. The basic recipe is 2 cups of leafy greens (spinach, Swiss Chard, lettuce, rocket etc), 2 cups of fruits and 2 cups of water. You can take every fruit you like. Some berries, grapes, peach, apricot or banana pieces added, make every smoothie much more delicious!
