Above the main entrance in Graz, Sackstrasse 22, there is a crest that welcomes you, a double-headed eagle and the initials MT (for Empress Maria Theresia). It reminds us that something happened under her rule: the former post office moved then out and the Mint moved in.
Model Viola next to the portal in a safari jacket by Stajan. She can once be seen on the left of the round stone arch (photo above), once right in the doorway (photo below). Portal and crest were built in 1756, right in the year when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born.
Another view from the building direction Schlossberg – Stajan offices and the tailoring are in the first floor. Opposite in Sackstrasse 19 (s. photo below on the left) one can see the corner with the Stajan Outlet Store. Hurry in, it will only be open another 5 weeks!
Take the chance to get a last look at this beautiful terrace and landscape in Tuscany (photo below) by Brigitte Stajan. She is not only fashion designer but is also a gifted painter. Ask for the wall painting in one of the rooms in the Outlet Store and you will be shown there.
From the painted balustrade on the painting to the real balustrade in the baroque stair case (photo below) it is only a few steps. Cross the street, enter by the baroque doorway, pass the corridor and turn to the left. There you will find the architectural jewel where Michaela and Pom present baroque style jackets and gillets.
In such a surrounding you must become inspired to create something Mozart and Marie Antoinette like … mustn´t you?
