New Recipes and a Lot about Health and Beauty and Fashion, Taken Nature(Liter)ally

I who has been wearing vegan shoes for many years was always sorry that there was no big choice and most models looked a mess. As if by a miracle you got some day vegan ballerinas, so there were vegan shoes to wear. It was the same with vegan* eating. When restaurants started offering vegan meals it looked a mess on the plate. You didn´t want to taste the mushy colorless vegetables with huge amounts of tofu in. Meanwhile the healthy cuisine has become much better, particularly in France, in the UK and in the States where there are many luxury restaurants offering only 100% plant based menus.

It was a big surprise – concerning healthy living – when I found only some weeks ago this magazine – the world´s first ever sustainable luxury publication. Wowww! You find there everything about sustainable (luxury 😉 ) fashion, organic beauty care, healthy and inspiring recipes and and and … And? The most beautiful photos as if they were taken for one of the Vogue magazines. Have a look on it, you will become addicted reading articles day by day.

If you have followed my blog about healthy lifestyle you know that smoothies, particularly the green, are the healthiest. And even as they can look like poison they taste delicious. They must taste delicious, so delicious that you don´t want have anything else but smoothies … – Taking fresh fruit in any form helps to lower (silent) inflammation and to reduce your risk of serious disease**. How do you notice the inflammation in your body? Awkward response: you do not! You only notice it when it is too late and your body has produced something more serious like acne, chronic fatigue, depression, rheumatoid arthritis, Type 1 diabetes, heart diseases, cancer and many other illnesses you do not want to think about nor to get them.

Broccoli is an anti-inflammatory fruit, it helps to maintain a healthy immune and nervous system, an optimal brain function, it regulates blood pressure, prevents osteoporosis, fights free radicals, helps in repairing skin damage, is anti-carcinogen and hinders the growths of breast, cervical and prostate cancer. It boosts the liver function and so on … Isn´t this a good reason to take more broccoli? Even if you always hated broccoli. And I can tell you why: you always got it cooked and overcooked and mushy. When you prepare a broccoli dish yourself, like the broccoli dip on the photo above, you can make it as “al dente” as you like.

Such like broccoli cauliflower is packed with several vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that help to prevent inflammation, to support a healthy heart and to fight cancer. Mixed with turmeric (recipe here) it becomes a life and body booster. Turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. It has been used in India for thousands of years as medicinal herb. It contains compounds with medicinal properties such as the most important which is curcumin. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. As the quantity in turmeric is not very high it is useful to take a supplement that contains significant amounts of curcumin.

The ELUXE Magazine-article I am writing about (30 inflammation reducing vegan recipes) is only one of many interesting that are dealing with a healthy luxury lifestyle! I wish I had invented the magazine, it takes the words right out my mouth. Everything I was always looking for is in, my favorite articles are about natural skin and hair care, sustainable luxury fashion brands (s. photo above) and shoes! One of the most inspiring articles: 10 fancy vegan shoes for big nights out …

*By the way, everyone, me including, tries to avoid the bad “v”-word, as it is a vexing expression – when you take a coke and eat potato chips, you are 100% vegan, but it is not desirable nor healthy.

**It was to approve this article that I read yesterday in the morning in the Telegraph this: Poor diet causes one in seven deaths in Britain!, because of lack of fruit, fibre, wholegrain and nuts, too much salt, too much processed food and drinks.
