New Recipe - Smoothies and Other Most Delicious Life Savers

My husband and I are (almost) never ill – what the typical bacterial infections and viral diseases concerns. Every five to ten years there is one day we do not feel good: we are tired, the joints are aching and we have neuralgia problems. This happened some days ago and I was craving for what you can see on the photo below. Luckily we had tons of fruits and vegetables at home and so I produced smoothie after smoothie. When we took up workaday life with meetings in Graz we were still craving for smoothies. There are meanwhile really many smoothie-bars and restaurants where you get extremely good drinks. Last time we took ours here in the beautiful Sporgasse where they offer delicious smoothies. You can even take drinks home (as I did) to photograph them and to have fresh supply in “case of emergency”.

Unfortunately I do not know the name of the flowers on the photo, there are hundreds around the house.

  • ¼ cup mango pieces
  • ¼ cup pineapple pieces
  • ¼ banana
  • 1 date

* You can get it in all the shops, our favourite is Graz, Sporgasse 14.

TIP

Don´t forget to eat fruits and vegetables as snacks and to take salad as often as possible. This isn´t only a very effective remedy against any illness and any disease but strengthens the immune system for the next bacteria and viruses attack.

By the way, flowers are also a remedy against illness! In a research done in hospitals it was found out that people who were looking at flowers from their beds – either natural or on photos or on paintings – needed less than the half of painkillers and recovered quicker than those who where looking on empty walls.
