New Recipe – Plum Smoothie and Almond Cream with Berries

Some weeks ago I wrote to a very good friend (let´s call her Giuliana and let´s wear her a “little grey dress” with pearls, lilac shoes and lilac bag) that I am going to make a lilac blogpost in January. She loved the idea. And even as it was planned as lilac/purple/violet recipe, 50 % turned out as dark blue and burgundy red (50 % are really purple) what is very typical for me, as these are my favourite colours.

  • Purple Smoothie (ingredients serve 1)

  • ½ an apple
  • 6 – 8 ripe pitted plums
  • 1 cup water
  • ground cinnamon (to taste)

  • Mix in a food processor or in powerful blender.

  • Serve with a dollop of almond cream and enjoy! I am sure that this is one of the best smoothies you have ever had. My husband and I love it as we both love plums so much. It is simple with the few ingredients and maybe because of that so delicious!

    • Almond Cream with Berries (ingredients serve 1)

    • 3 – 4 Tbsp almond cream without sugar (you can buy it, it is probably the best vegan whipped cream)
    • vanilla
    • mixed berries (I took blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and pomegranate kernels)
    • 2 Tbsp water
    • 1 tsp coconut sugar

  • Stir the almond cream with a fork, add vanilla and fill in a glass.

Warm the berries in a pan, they must not become hot, only lukewarm. Add water and coconut sugar. Stir and pour over the almond cream. Enjoy … slowly … and share with very best friends. Or don´t share and take the second and the third helping yourself.
