Some of you will think: how can I indulge myself in baroque art and architecture … everlasting? I will tell you. It is easier as you think. The clue is a web, an international virtual museum that concentrates on Baroque Art and on Islamic Art. It was founded 30 years ago! It was a great honor when an art historian (with whom I share the love for baroque art and architecture) asked me if I wouldn´t like to contribute articles? I wanted of course and agreed in the very moment as this was a good reason to more concentrate on baroque.

As I have discovered amazing baroque buildings in Upper Austria in the last years (you will probably remember the article about the Church in Spital am Pyhrn) it was clear that I would start there. A breathtaking building of single beauty is the Schlierbach Abbey Church with a “double baroque” interior. To get the riddle solved what double baroque means, please read my article here.
